Xtreme - expressing through xtreme exaggeration, xtreme
emotions and xtreme concepts. The bringing together of two xtreme opposites
or different elements and styles but harmonising them through theme, expression,
concept, and message. For example: Exaggerated size, violent brush strokes
or even outragous artforms. With opposites such as Modern and traditional
methods, justaposing colours, gentle but venomous, smooth and rigid, innocence
and violence, beauty through war. Through Xtremes comes the greatest unity.
The
Time Portal -- through time society has changed. Our human
evolution has brought bothbeauty or disaster to the earth. Beauty through
writing, culture, and human relationships. Disaster through war, industralisation
and attitude. Through evolution human has used writing and picture as
a form of expression, to depict the future or contemplate on past memories.
Objects are momentary but what it represents is timeless.
Travelling
on the time portal we reflect on the human race, its past and its development.
What aspects can we develop and what can we change. Artworks might illustate
the past, the present, or predict the future. It might show change and
the evolution process. Through time things always change, but how it changes
is up to us.
The Chinese Cultural Centre (NSW) brings art and culture together. A great venue, cosy and warm . And this exhibition hopes to extend the art culture the centre brings to the Chinese Community and its other audiences.
